Leonard St. started in 2004 when McCarthy began a small highly retro inspired collection while she worked in wardrobe for film and television. It steadily grew into a large reputable brand in the Australian market, and dabbled in export to the US, UK, Spain and Japan. In 2008 Leonard St broke in retailing with the first stand alone store in eclectic Windsor, now there are three retail locations in prominent Melbourne retail strips. An independent company Leonard St has solidified its charming look and appreciation in Australian market. Leonard St if often featured in editorial in the likes of Yen, Frankie, IN Style, and dresses indie Pop band Alpine and Florence Welch.
